Access to GSSI and a variety of GPR systems
Primarily using GSSI Structure Scan Mini designed to penetrate concrete to a maximum depth of 500mm. HTA have access to a variety of GPR systems dependant on ground conditions and depth.
GSSI Structure Scan Mini usage
HTA use the GSSI on a regular basis to locate various elements and features within concrete for example:
- Steel re-enforcement
- Post tensioned ducts
- Material layers
The technique can be very site specific, and calibration with intrusive techniques is strongly recommended.
Impulse Radar Surveys
Successfully determine the presence and location of underground buildings with Impulse Radar Surveys. Locate accurately the location & depth of buried services and used to determine the presence of steel members etc present in bridges behind reinforcing steel.
HTA can carry out all your Impulse Radar surveys (also known as Ground Penetrating Radar GPR), these surveys can be used as a stand alone technique to determine the location of services / defects to structures, depth of material layers, areas of potential problems with structures.
